Solar Innova achieves a new certification of Conformity with the European Standard EN 13501-1:2018, related to the fire classification of construction products and building elements - Part 1: Classification using data from reaction to fire tests.
SOLAR INNOVA photovoltaic laminated glass constitutes a range of active technological glasses that have the property of generating electrical energy and can be applied in architectural building envelope systems or included in more complex construction materials (e.g. multiple glazing).
The properties offered by laminated glass make it possible to add thermal, acoustic and solar control properties to the photovoltaic laminated devices in the building.
This European standard covers the classification based on the fire behaviour of laminated safety glass photovoltaic modules for use in buildings.
The certification of laminated glass type tests (EN 13501-1:2018) carried out on our photovoltaic modules offers customers the necessary guarantees regarding compliance with all the fundamental requirements for their use in public buildings, infrastructure and applications subject to fire regulations.
This Harmonised European Standard includes the following type product tests:
Test 1: EN ISO 11925-2:2020: Flammability of products when subjected to the direct action of flame.
The test verifies the initial reaction of the material upon contact with fire, confirming its controlled behavior consistent with the safety requirements demanded for architectural and structural applications.Test 2: EN 13823:2020+A1:2022: Thermal attack caused by a single burning object.
The B-s1,d0 classification certifies that the material presents:
Low flammability (B).
Reduced smoke production (s1).
Absence of incandescent droplets or particles (d0).
According to the Declaration of Performance (DoP) our products comply with the Regulation on Construction Products CPR No. 305/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council of the European Union. The CE mark indicates that a construction product complies with the declared performance and that it has been assessed in accordance with a harmonized European standard or that a European Technical Assessment has been issued for that product.
