Description

A photoelectric cell, also called cell, photocell, or cell PV is an electronic device that can transform the light energy (photons) into electrical energy (electrons) by photovoltaic effect.

 

They are composed of polycrystalline silicon which has photoelectric effect: photons absorb light and emit electrons. When these free electrons are captured, the result is an electric current that can be used as electricity.

 

These square cells of high efficiency polycrystalline silicon are made of several crystals of very high purity silicon, to transform solar radiation energy into electrical energy of current.

 

Its performance is excellent over the entire range of light spectrum, with particularly high yields in low light situations or cloudiness to direct sunlight (diffuse radiation).

 

With high quality criteria used in its manufacture and test of control is achieved that the performance differences between different cells is less than 0.3 %.
