The nature of public use with public buildings, with a wide range of services and public use of the various facilities that integrate, enhance the presence of risk factors that may affect the health of users and the environment indoor environment around them.
Environmental Health actions in this area of intervention focus, among others, in identifying those factors in order to develop and improve mechanisms for prevention and control of diseases related to the unique characteristics of different types of buildings or the special conditions of operation of its facilities.
In this sense, health facilities are priority for those activities and the Manual on the Prevention and Control of Legionnaires' disease, aspergillosis, and TB in health facilities is presented below aims to provide guidance and support to professionals of the sector not only health but other sectors involved in the design, construction, maintenance and management of such facilities.
We are also convinced that much of the information contained in these manuals will be applicable to other establishments, still not having a sanitary nature, plants have very similar problems and share them (hotels, spas and thermal facilities, nursing homes, etc.).
