CALCULATION OF THE ANGLE OF PHOTOVOLTAIC INSTALLATION

Tool to find the best angle of installation of photovoltaic modules.

Enter the name of the nearest city to where to install.

Click on Search the map for which the value of Latitude.

The optimum angle for the installation of photovoltaic modules is the value obtained as Latitude.

If the value obtained as the latitude is negative, then your panels should be oriented towards the North.

If the value obtained as the Latitude has a positive sign, then your panels should be oriented towards the South.

You can actually install the panels at an angle of deviation of +/- 15 degrees on either side of this optimal setting without losing much power or efficiency of their modules.

You can also set your solar panels for optimum performance in summer and winter. In summer, the PV modules must be installed at a lower angle. This is because the sun is higher above the head.

In Winter, the sun moves across the sky in a bottom corner. Therefore, the photovoltaic modules must be installed with a higher angle for capturing more solar radiation.

In the Northern Hemisphere, the panels must be oriented as close as possible to the South.

In the Southern Hemisphere, its solar panels must be oriented as possible toward the North.
